Mrs. Marny Ruben

Marny Ruben has been principal of the UNC Hospital School since 2017 after serving as an administrator of Seawell Elementary School for 15 years and teacher for 7 years.    

While at Seawell, Marny was recognized as principal of the year and honored twice as assistant principal of the year.  Throughout her career, Marny has exhibited a commitment to inclusion and equity that she continues in her work leading the hospital school.  She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education from East Carolina University and a master's degree in educational leadership from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  When not at school, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son.
